The ‘Rayder’ jumpsuit by Rachel Zoe, $395, available at Nordstrom
Jump suits and rompers are darling, easy to pack, and are the perfect example of old trends coming back. In the 70’s, terry cloth rompers were in, but now for 2014, rich silks and fabric blends of all kinds dominate the female jumpsuit option no matter where you buy this famous one piece. Jumpers (not bibs by the way), are a fun way to be feminine and cute at the same time.
High Waisted Lace Shorts by Alice & Olivia, $385, available at Saks Fifth Avenue
Lace shorts are very “feminine romantic”. There’s just something liberating about wearing them while everyone else is wearing denim or cotton blend shorts. Lace shorts are for ladies that like to make a statement and dress feminine at the same time. Lace shorts are great with silk button down blouses, crop tops, tanks or even a tank and leather jacket combinations. If you’re an over the top girlie girl, stick to lighter hues for an ultra-feminine look.
Black and White
Varigated Striped Cardy by Renee C, $48.00, Hot Mama
Black and white clothing will never go out of style. A black and white theme can stay black and white or you can add any pop of color to break it up. An easy way to ease into the two bold colors is to try a block colored top or a striped sweater to test the waters if you’re unsure about the trend.
Simone Rocha White Eyelit Filled Bust Crop Top, $1050.00, ssense.com
There is a classy way to wear a crop top and to fit into today’s standards and current trends. One should always make sure her crop top is at least at belly button length leaving the girls completely covered with only a small portion of the midriff showing, if at all. There’s a fine line here between classy and down right trashy. Also make sure your crop is of respectable fabric and worn with a beautiful skirt, soft pant or a well-fitted slack or denim.
Chambray Shirtdress, $110.00, Banana Republic
Shirtdresses can be worn alone or with leggings like a tunic. Either way, they should be a staple in a woman’s Spring wardrobe this year. A nice belt at the waist can accentuate the smallness of the waist. A button down shirtdress can give a sexy “I’m wearing my guys big shirt” kind of appeal. Only this over-sized shirt fits and is all the way feminine!
Floral Print Side Zip Capri Pants by Shelli Segal, $31.12, available at Neiman Marcus Last Call
Floral prints are fun and vibrant. For Spring 2014, floral prints are available everywhere, including on scarves, pants, skirts, dresses, blouses, t-shirts, espadrilles and even ballet flats. We recommend picking your favorite print on your favorite piece (or two) and wear it as much as you can!
