Top 8 Aruba Beaches
Paradise Times Eight…
Aruba used to be my secret paradise. After visiting the island for the first time some nineteen years ago, I’ve been in love with the perfect Caribbean destination ever since. But, now that the rest of the world knows about it or wants to know about this island-paradise destination, I thought I’d share my favorite 8 beach locations for sun, swim, snorkeling, romantic walks and family fun.
1. Palm Beach
Palm Beach is a two-mile strip known for its white sands and turquoise waters. This beach is a popular hangout for the country’s tourists and is easy to get to because it is located in front of the high-rise resorts. This beautiful beach consists of calm and clear water and is excellent for swimming, tanning, relaxing and romantic walks. Young and guests of the older generation will find everything they need as the beach offers several bar, restaurant, hotel and water sport options. Palm Beach is located near:
- Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
- Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino
- Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino
- Holiday Inn Resort Aruba
2. Arashi Beach
Arashi Beach is a beautiful beach located not far from the California Lighthouse. The beach has great soft waves, island sand, huts for shade and a safe parking lot. It’s a perfect spot for snorkeling and a favorite with both the locals and tourists. Arashi Beach is the last stretch of beach on the northwestern side of the island and is next to Boca Catalina.
3. Rodger’s Beach
Rodger’s Beach is a hidden paradise in my opinion. It’s a narrow beach with crystal turquoise water located right next to Baby Beach. During the week, it’s quiet. Not too many tourists know about this location. On the weekends, this beach is a favorite amongst the locals.
4. Baby Beach
Located in Seroe Colorado at the southeastern end of Aruba, the famous Baby Beach in Aruba is a true Caribbean paradise. I was first introduced to Baby Beach nineteen years ago, well before many tourists knew about the location. Baby Beach is a gorgeous half-moon shaped beach in a calm lagoon offering shallow warm waters, snorkeling and beautiful views. This is the perfect spot for small children and families. Baby Beach offers guests a refreshment stand, beach chairs, windscreens, and snorkel gear.
5. Eagle Beach
Eagle Beach was recently rated as one of the best beaches in the world and was named one of the top 3 best beaches in the Caribbean. This pristine stretch of clear water and soft sands feature a variety of water sports and is perfect for long walks. Eagle Beach is a favorite among locals and also tourists who stay in the low-rise hotels. The beach is also known to be the perfect spot for sea turtles.
6. Mangel Halto
Mangel Halto Beach in Aruba is located in Pos Chiquito, Aruba. This beautiful Caribbean beach is perfect for tanning, swimming and snorkeling. The calm, shallow waters rich in sea life is a stunning destination for snorkeling and paradise-like photos. Just look at my photo. The different colors of blue represent the levels of depth and scream “paradise” in my book. This destination is far from a “tourist spot” and is never busy because it is far from the low-rise and high-rise hotels. It’s a secluded Caribbean beach perfect for picnics, romantic getaways with dreamy white powdery sands you only see on TV and huts for those who need shade. Mangel Halto Beach serves as an excellent shore diving site in Aruba. The waters are so shallow, one can walk quite a far distance and see parrot fish, yellowtail snappers and blue tangs as well as deep water gorgonians, sponges and anemones, you can even use Fish Finder Tech to look for the best ones. The reef plunges to 110’ where octopi, morays and barracuda reside. I feel a little guilty sharing this heavenly spot with all of you! It’s that good!
7. Druif Beach
Druif Beach is a long, narrow oval-shaped beach with clean, ivory sand. Here, restaurants are just steps away as this quiet destination is not too far from the beautiful Eagle Beach mentioned above.
8. De Palm Island
De Palm Island is Aruba’s only all-inclusive “separate island” destination for families. It’s an affordable adventure offering a water park, swimming, snorkeling, relaxation and pampering all at the same time. There’s something for everybody here! Tickets can be purchased online prior to your vacation. One must park at the designated area and take a boat to De Palm. I guarantee, you’ll have a wonderful time at this fun destination spot!
