It’s true, the North American International Auto Show is here and is now open to the public. As you know from previous posts, I recently partnered with She Buys Cars, Hyundai and The Steel Market Development Institute otherwise known as SMDI, premier sponsor of NAIAS to make sure our readers get first hand pics and exclusive info regarding the Detroit Auto Show, the amazing cars featured in the show and the importance of steel and steel-made vehicles.

SMDI, a part of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), increases the use of steel by developing innovative materials, applications and solutions for customers in the automotive and construction markets. SMDI aims to spread the good word about steel. Steel is a leader in performance and safety because of its strength durability. Steel-made vehicles are safer for passengers, more likely to survive in crashes and much easier to repair.

On that note, lets check out some of the most glamorous cars at NAIAS Detroit this year.  Put your seatbelt on, you’re in for a ride.

Kia Stinger

The Kia Stinger reveal was one of my favorites during press week this year. Kia doesn’t normally specialize in glamour and luxury but this sedan is the Korean automaker’s first effort at a true performance car and it certainly has some glamour to it.

Audi R8 Spyder

The Audi R8 Spyder convertible has an impressive 5.2-L V10 engine and a high glamour look.  Unfortunately, this is a car I wasn’t allowed to sit in but the leather seats are hot and the color combo is winning in our book. How do you like the Bombay Blue?

Ford GT

Ladies and gentleman…your Best of Show. One hundred public judges voted this Ford GT as the Best of Show and Best Dream Machine at the Detroit auto show. The GT is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 ecoboost engine.

Lincoln Navigator Concept

This Lincoln Navigator Concept vehicle is the ultimate soccer mom vehicle. The full-size luxury SUV has two upward-opening gull-wing doors with concertina steps. Yes, for the whole team to pile in and stampede out. Each seat has a seat size (in length) television monitor, an organized closet in the rear and comfortable leather for everyone to enjoy.  Chrome accents the vehicle both inside and out.

Mercedez Benz AMG GT C Edition 50

First announced to investors back in July, the Mercedes Benz AMG GT C Edition 50 can reach 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and top out at 197 mph. This vehicle is a special “Edition 50” model. The car represents 2017’s 50th anniversary of the AMG skunk works to be celebrated throughout 2017 under the theme “50 Years of Driving Performance.”

Acura NSX

Business Insider’s Car of the Year for 2016 and built in Ohio, the Acura NSX has a twin-turbocharged, rear-mounted V6 gasoline engine with a 9-speed transmission retails at $156,000.00.

Lexus UX Concept

If you’re familiar with the Lexus brand then you might agree with me when I say this vehicle looks nothing like a Lexus. Lavender in color, this concept vehicle isn’t everyone’s favorite but it’s so outlandish, you have to see it for yourself if you attend the Detroit show. It has lots of sexy curves but also lots of sharp angles, a massive grille and an interior that leaves a lot of questions.

Lexus LC 500

The LC 500 luxury sports coupe by Lexus is being called Lexus’s new north star. Proving major change, Lexus claims this vehicle is all brand new from front to back and is extremely stiff for better driver feedback. The vehicle has a 5.0-liter V8, 468 horsepower and 391 lb-feet of torque.

Genesis G90

This car may not look as fancy as the others but it certainly has more bells and whistles than you can ever imagine. For starters, it has a self-leveling suspension, adaptive dampers, self-leveling headlights, a 17-speaker Lexicon audio system, inductive smartphone charging, a head-up display, a 360-degree-view parking camera, lane-keeping assist and much more.  The plush leather seats recline both in the front and the back and no matter where you sit, pure luxury surrounds you from every angle.  Check out our previous post by clicking here to learn more.
