A “Skintelligent” Way to Take Care of Your Skin
I’ve been using Dermalogica skincare for years and I’ve been pretty happy with my regimen for the most part. Typically, once I choose a product I love, it’s really hard to get me to turn my head when I know I’ve got something good. Recently though, I’ve been noticing some changes in my skin and feel like maybe I need something more or different to address the changes.
As I get older, I look at my skin and face differently and notice things now that I haven’t noticed in my younger years. I do love wine, which dehydrates the skin and I’ve been working around the clock as both a professional and a mom. So yes, lack of sleep never helps either. What I’ve been noticing at times is tired skin, sometimes weather-beaten skin (I do live in Michigan, need I say more?), my make up wearing differently, dryer eyelids on certain days and greasy non-holding eyeshadow eyelids on other days. These issues have been making me really focus on whether or not my skin regimen has been working. So I amped up my water intake, I’ve been trying not to burn the candle at both ends (yet a working mom’s job is never done) and decided to try a new regimen with Elayne Arterbery skincare. When I first tried the Elayne Arterbery Eyejuvenate Eye Treatment and the Skintelligent Apigenin Cream, I knew I found something my forever changing skin needed.
Basically, I didn’t change my nightly or morning routine, I changed the products I’m using and I’m a big fan now of Elayne Arterbery’s Eyejuvenate Apigenin Eye Treatment, Skintelligent Apigenin Cream and Smart C Serum.
Dr. Elayne Arterbery has extensive work in cancer research and her key ingredient is Apigenin in her products. Naturally derived from chamomile, parsley, and chrysanthemum, Apigenin is a plant compound. It’s found in a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs such as lemon balm, onions, sour thyme and oranges, Apigenin is also well-known within the world of natural medicine, and celebrated for its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. Maybe this is the key ingredient my skin has been missing. I’ve been using these products for a little over a month and I’ve noticed a positive change. I have clearer skin, softer skin and healthier looking skin. I’m sure my water intake is helping but I also feel good about the results I’m seeing with these products. I’m going to keep using them. Looks like I found a new favorite.
Which skincare products do you use? Do they contain Apigenin? I’d love to hear what you think about Apigenin and would love to hear how you keep your skin looking so beautiful. Leave me a comment below. Let’s have a skincare chat!
